The First Czech Medical Hub Opens in Lviv, Ukraine, Supporting Czech Health Technology Companies

The first-ever Czech Medical Hub has launched in Lviv, Ukraine, to support Czech companies specializing in health technologies. This hub provides comprehensive facilities and support for companies wishing to enter or expand within the Ukrainian market, offering crucial administrative and technological assistance. It is the first such hub globally. The opening ceremony took place today, attended by the Czech Republic’s Minister of Health, Vlastimil Válek.

“I have now had the opportunity to observe the state of the Ukrainian health sector in Kyiv and Lviv, and I greatly appreciate the involvement of Czech companies and universities in this specific area of our assistance. The Czech Medical Hub in Lviv can significantly help Czech companies offering high-quality technologies and know-how,” stated Vlastimil Válek at the opening.

What does the Czech Medical Hub offer?

The Czech Medical Hub serves as a base for Czech companies specializing in medical technologies who aim to offer their products and services in Ukraine. Key services include:

  • Office facilities: Access to office space with all necessary equipment.
  • Back office and administrative support: Streamlining administrative processes and assisting with operational issues.
  • Legal and advisory services: Assistance with company establishment, obtaining necessary licenses, and addressing legal matters.
  • Establishing a Head Office or Branch Office: Support in setting up and operating a local branch office.

Shared technology and service infrastructure

Currently, the companies within the Czech Medical Hub are collaborating to build a modern service and technology infrastructure. The goal is to create an environment where resources, know-how, and innovation are shared, enabling companies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Project funding and support

The Czech Medical Hub is funded through private resources from individual companies, as well as with support from the Czech Health Technology Institute and the Association of Medical Device Manufacturers and Suppliers (AVDZP). This cooperation ensures not only the project’s stability but also access to expertise and a network of contacts in the field of medical technology.

“The Ukrainian market represents a significant opportunity for Czech companies, especially in the area of healthcare and innovation. Thanks to the Czech Medical Hub, companies have the opportunity to expand faster, gain trusted partners, and more easily overcome administrative and legislative obstacles,” said Marek Svoboda, Executive Director of the Czech Health Technology Institute.

This project demonstrates that Czech health technology companies have valuable offerings internationally, and the Czech Medical Hub opens the door to new opportunities and success in the Ukrainian market.
